Dr. Indra Rani Rao honoured with ‘Sahityik Ratna’ award

Sri and Smt Rao honoured at International ‘Sahityakar Sammaan Samaroh’

Sri Rao Vijay Prakash Singh and Smt. Indira Rani Rao were honored at the International Writers’ Sahitya Sammaan ceremony for their contributions towards literature and culture.

 

 

The event was organized at Charkhi Dadri on behalf of Nirmala Smriti Sahitiyik Samiti, which was attended by litterateurs from the country and abroad. The President of the Samiti, Dr. Ashok Kumar Manglesh, told that distinguished persons were honored at the ceremony with honors instituted in the memory of litterateurs like Rajkavi Shambhu Das and social workers like Shri Ramesh Joshi.

Mrs Jasbir Kaur’s book, “The Yellow Leaf” was released in the Senior Citizen Home, Sector 43, at a function organized by the Chandigarh Senior Citizens Association. The book was launched by the tri-city’s eminent personalities including Association’s President Brig. D.S.Grewal, Brig. Keshav Chander, Spirituo-Cultural Luminary Sri V.P.S.Rao founder-patron of Sanskriti Bodh Sangh (Cultural Awareness Group with website: www.sanskritibodh.com), Dr.Smt.I.R.Rao, Principal Surjit Kalha, Mrs. Surjit Kaur NIC president, besides author Smt. Jasbir Kaur.

The Yellow Leaf” is a collection of poems by Smt. Jasbir Kaur, a retired senior lecturer of government college for girls, Chandigarh, who is now devoted to social service. The poems depict many important problems being faced by various sections of modern society.

Through his art – book on the cultural heritage of Jind, Dadri and Sangrur, Adhyatma Sanskriti Ratna Sri V.P.S. Rao has set an example to show that such beautiful and knowledgeable books can also be produced on other historical places of India to inspire the youth to realize the significance of their own heritage and make efforts to preserve it.

Recently it was discussed by the elite at an exhibition on the perspectography of a young enthusiast Pranjal Marwaha, at the Govt. Museum & Art Gallery, Chandigarh, inaugurated by Himachal’s Health, Revenue and Law Minister Sh. Kaul Singh Thakur, which was liked by the viewers. The amazing globe-trotter has taken pains to pursue his passion.

The Minister, on this occasion, perused and showed Sri Rao’s book also to the audience. Heritage needs to be preserved and carried forward for the posterity. Here are some pics of the occasion.

 

Adhyatma Sanskriti Ratna Sri Rao Vijay Prakash Singh discussed cultural heritage with Haryana Cabinet Minister Kavita Jain

Adhyatma Sanskriti Ratna Sri Rao Vijay Prakash Singhji threw light on Sanskriti Bodh literature during a meeting with Haryana cabinet minister Kavita Jain at her residential office. He presented some books to the Minister in this connection, which included the “Om Mahima”, the “Vikas Hetu Upyogi Anmol Vachan” and a trend-setter coffee table book on cultural heritage, “Splendor of Jind’s Capital Sangrur in 19-20th centuries” also.

 

 

Sri Rao said that Jind’s capital Sangrur was a well planned town in 19th century when town planning was not so common in India. The minister appreciated the production. Educationist Dr. Indira Rani Rao, Editor Dr. Vinod Kumar Sharma and Charkhi Dadri Nagar Parishad chairman Sanjay chaparia were also present.
